Recovery Coach Academy: Foundational Certification for Peer Professionals
(30 hour Foundational Initial Training)
Are you passionate about supporting others in their recovery journey? The Recovery Coach Academy Foundational Course offers an immersive, evidence-based training experience designed to equip aspiring peer professionals with the tools, knowledge, and confidence needed to make a lasting impact.
The Recovery Coach Academy (RCA) is your first step toward becoming a certified peer professional in New York State and most other states.
Developed by the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) and approved by the New York Certification Board (NYCB), this dynamic 30-hour training provides the essential foundation for those pursuing the Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) or Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) credentials.
If you are outside of NYS, click here to check your state’s certification requirements. This training will be accepted in most states.

For all CCAR workshops you are required to purchase your Participant Manual on Amazon. Please order your manual immediately! A CCAR Participant Manual is mandatory for this class! You will want to order this ahead of time!
Once you register for this course, you will receive an email with specific instructions as you will need to register in the CCAR Protraxx system before the class start date. You will receive the zoom registration link and the pre-work information once your registration is completed.
